Privacy Policy — SchoolMove Parent

SchoolMove Parent (“the App”) is used by parents to view school transport status for children linked to their account by the school.

Data we process

• Account email and name for sign-in
• Linked student names, grades, bus, route, and stop information provided by the school
• Live bus location and estimated arrival while a trip is active
• Transport notifications (pickup, drop, delays, emergencies)

What we do not collect

• The Parent App does not access the parent’s device GPS
• We do not sell personal data
• We do not show ads

Why we process it

To show trip status, bus location, ETA, and safety alerts for children the school has linked to the parent account.

Sharing

Data is processed by the school’s SchoolMove backend. Live location originates from the driver device during an active trip. School administrators can view fleet location for operations.

Retention

Account and assignment data are retained while the parent is linked by the school. Location is used for live tracking during trips and is not used for advertising.

Security

Access uses authenticated sessions. Tokens are stored in platform secure storage on the device.
