Privacy Policy — SchoolMove Driver

SchoolMove Driver (“the App”) is used by school bus drivers to start assigned trips and share live bus location with the school and parents.

Location data

The App collects precise location while a trip is active, including when the screen is off, using a foreground location service with a persistent notification (“SchoolMove trip active”).

Location is used only to:

• Show the bus on the school live map
• Calculate ETA for parents at their stop
• Support emergency alerts during a trip

Location sharing stops when the driver ends the trip.

Other data

• Driver account email and name for sign-in
• Assigned bus and route details
• Trip start/end times and optional emergency messages

What we do not collect

• Location when no trip is active
• Advertising identifiers for ads (the App has no ads)
• We do not sell personal data

Sharing

Live location is sent to the school’s SchoolMove backend and shown to authorised school staff and to parents of students on that trip.

Retention

Trip and location records are retained by the school for transport operations and safety, according to the school’s policy.
